Burnt out boards are one of the most common problems we run into here when replacing customers units. I'm not sure how it happens, but you WILL know when it happens because of the burnt plastic smell!
The new boards are very easy to replace, and only require 3 solder connections. You don't even have to get your soldering iron next to the board itself, so no accidental burning up your new board with heat!
